A 4½ mile (7.5 km) walk from Langstone over the Hayling Island bridge to explore the Northney countryside and shoreline. Refreshments at Northney Farm and an opportunity to hear about farming in an AONB with farmers Mary and Stan Pike. Some paths may be muddy.

Mon 11 April Beach Treasure Hunt and Lifeboat Station Visit

Explore the shoreline looking for nature’s treasures and then enjoy a tour around the lifeboat station, seeing the lifeboats and also the gear the crew have to wear when out on a ‘shout’. Bring a bucket.

Sat 16 April Cans, Cones and Cardinals

The usual 1½ hour trip on our solar-powered boat, the Solar Heritage, but with a difference. Today we will be looking at the markers and buoys and hearing a bit about what navigation in the harbour involves. This is a fun introductory session and not intended as formal training in navigation. Departs from Itchenor.

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a 3 mile (5 km) early morning walk on the beach at the entrance to Chichester Harbour when the tide is especially low.

Sat 23 April Walk and Solar Boat Trip

Enjoy a 2½ mile (4km) walk led by our guide from Itchenor to Chichester Marina and then take a trip on our solar-powered boat to have a rest and the chance to view the harbour from the water, finishing back at Itchenor. Bring footwear for muddy paths and a picnic and warm clothes for the boat.

Mon 25 April Chidham Shoreline Walk

A 5 mile (8km) walk of the Chidham peninsula shoreline taking in three splendid views: Nutbourne Bay, the main harbour channel, and to Bosham. The paths may be muddy and some are well worn. Bring a snack for a short break.

With the guidance of local enthusiast Karen Berry, we will explore the harbour shoreline and hedgerows at Dell Quay, looking for and identifying edible plants, fruits and seeds.
