Eastwood Marina on the River Yare at Brundall has been awarded two prestigious awards recognising the contribution the company is making within the Broadland Holiday Industry.

The Yacht Harbour Association, which has been running its Gold Anchor Award Quality Assurance programme for 20 years, has recently reviewed and upgraded the Scheme. World wide there are only 63 Marinas to have qualified for the award which is reviewed every three years to ensure that standards are maintained to the highest levels. Eastwood Marina has been run by Leslie and Lorraine Mogford with the help of their daughter Sarah O’Hara since 2002. During this time the Marina has been extensively upgraded to meet with modern marina berthing requirements. The Marina now has a gold anchor rating which recognises the quality of the facilities and environment.

Eastwood Marina have also received a Gold Award from Country Holidays recognising the excellent scores for accommodation found in their Riverside Cottages as rated by their customers during the last season.

At a reception held at the Marina yesterday, Leslie Mogford said, “We are pleased to have achieved these awards which helps to strengthen the reputation of The Norfolk Broads as a quality holiday experience enabling us to compete in an increasingly evolving world wide market”.

With finger pontoons (further pontoon information from VersaDock) and quay heading providing access, each berth has electric and water facilities. Car parking is close to each berth. The shower, toilets and laundry have disabled access and berth holders have a key entry system for these.

Each bathroom has a shower, toilet, hand basin with hand dryer and hair dryer. The laundry room has a token operated washing machine and dryer.

Wi-Fi facilities for connection to the internet are available.

Services for the boat owner include; hauling out facilities and hard standing. Brundall is renowned for having comprehensive marine services. These are within walking distance of the marina.
